◈ OBJECT/CODE

A PORTABLE STATIC WEBSITE

Your website.
Your domain.

This package includes the pages, 3D models, images, Roblox projects and viewer library. You need static file hosting with HTTPS. A domain is the address; hosting stores the actual files.

  1. Upload the files to your host.

Extract the website ZIP and copy the entire contents of model-library to your website root, such as public_html. The index.html file must sit directly in that root. Keep the assets, code, data and downloads folders intact.

  2. Connect your domain.

Add your domain in your hosting control panel. At your domain registrar, enter the A, AAAA or CNAME records supplied by your host. The exact values depend on your hosting service.

  3. Enable HTTPS and check the result.

Visit your domain, rotate the coach, open another model and check search, source code and ZIP downloads. Check the site on your phone as well.

Preview locally

Extract the entire ZIP and open index.html for a local preview. Models are packaged as local JavaScript data and source-code previews are embedded in the page data. If your browser restricts local files, you can use the optional local server. With Python installed, run:

python -m http.server 8080 --bind 127.0.0.1

Then open http://127.0.0.1:8080. The local server does not publish the website to the internet.

Your host should serve .js files as JavaScript. Keep all files under assets/model-data intact. The 3D viewer library is included locally; standard viewing of these models does not require an external CDN.
